- To get rid of wax stain, cover it with craft paper. Iron the paper for a while. The wax will get off your carpet and stick to the paper.
- Soda, soda+water, or carbonated water are very effective in getting rid of fresh stains. Put the liquid on the stain, wait a couple minutes for it to penetrate the stain and wipe it clean.
- All carpets must be cleaned at least every 12 to 18 months.
- The oldest carpet known to date back 2000 years or more is the Pazyryk carpet. It was discovered in 1940s in a Scythian grave in South Siberia.
- Heavy furniture leave marks on carpets. To get rid of those marks, you can use steam. Use your iron but make sure it doesn’t contact the surface of your carpet. Use a spoon to raise the crushed threads.
- To remove gum from your carpet, use ice cubes on the gum until it freezes and breaks.
